The time is tomorrow. A meteor storm has allowed monsters of every order to run free across the planet. Vampires, werewolves, ghosts, demons and other atrocities are the new bad guys on the block. To contend with this prevalent threat, various law enforcement agencies have created special divisions to deal with the monster epidemic. LAPD has created Monster Vice, and its senior cop is Dick Pitts -- a specialist in monster extermination. On a daily basis, Pitts stakes vampires, executes werewolves, and exorcises demons. When his partner is killed, he is assigned a new partner named Curadel -- who is in fact Dracula -- a greatly misunderstood Dracula through the ages and a Dracula who has become a cop to help humanity deal with the vampire plague. Now, Pitts and Dracula must team up and fight a Grand Master - the most powerful vampire in the world - who is hell bent on transforming every child in Los Angeles into a bloodsucking killing machine. Pitts and Dracula create a special platoon of 'fang warriors' -- their mission: to find the Grand Master and shut down his evil plans before the streets of LA are flooded in a sea of blood.

Do you believe in fairies?

For thousands of years they have lived with us in our fables and in our forests. They have crept from beneath beds to frighten our children and tormented our travelers unmercifully on the road at dusk. They have infested our gardens and spoiled the milk in our barns and smashed the crockery in our kitchens. They have bewitched and bedeviled young lovers and drugged us and caused our sleep to be filled with fantastic dreams.

In the summer of 1921, photographer John Warrick is invited to Browning Grange to witness an unusual phenomenon. Spurred by the imagination of two charming children and the seductive allure of the children’s aunt, Warrick embarks on a search for the fairies at Browning Grange in hopes that capturing their image on film will prove once and for all that fairies are real.

Warrick soon finds himself embroiled in an electrifying mystery. For something lives in the shadows of the hollow deep in the forest at Browning Grange, something with plans of its own.

The Fairies at Browning Grange, a 20,000 word novella, is a mystery charged with scenes of electrifying sensuality and is therefore recommended for mature readers.

Letters come alive in the pictures of common objects in the world of a child. When they choose the correct letter from three choices, they are rewarded with a picture of that letter. Letter sounds are also repeated in many of the answers--whether the right one or the wrong ones. When they choose the wrong answer, the book will send them back to the question to try again.

This book is designed for an adult and child to do the book together, but with a few repetitions and picture recognition, the child may be able to soon enjoy the book alone.

Baby Dolls Don’t Die. . . Sometimes is an anthology of two short stories and four poems. In the first story, “Baby Dolls Don’t Die. . . Sometimes”, fifteen year old Adam Eubanks is forced to deal with the birth of his newborn sibling and the exposure of his mother’s mental fragility, which in turn exposes the mind of a killer cloaked in the body of a teenaged boy.

“Eve’s Story” is a first-person narrative of the Fall of Man as told by Eve, the wife of Adam. In her rendition, Eve attempts to explain why the Fall happened and in doing so, hopes to gain empathy for the role that she played in it while shedding light on God’s infinite love for His creation.

And finally, slotted between the two short stories are poems entitled “Behold, the Lamb,” “Peace,” “I’m Just Sayin’,” and “What is Happiness?”

"Oh, how I wished I could’ve told her what had happened. How I wished I could’ve let go and allowed the tears to spill. But I knew that if I had cried, Mama would’ve asked me what the matter was. And if I had told her the truth, she would’ve said that I was lying. And if she thought that I was lying . . . well, you know the rest.

Still, I wonder . . . did she know?

Did anyone know?

Didn’t everyone know?""

Lucy Green Eyes is based on the true-life story of Merlene McDaniel as told from her eyes growing up in the segregated South. Although Merlene spends much of her early years dodging the stinging switches of an overly-strict grandmother, yearning for the embrace of a part-time mother, hoping for a smile from an oncoming stranger, or running from dirty old men, her inner strength allows her to ride on the wings of endless hope, and we can't help but ride along.

Twisted Flash Fiction Volume 1 - An Anthology Of Really Short Stories by Raechel Faulkner

Twisted Flash Fiction (Volume 1) is a collection of ten really short stories - and we do mean really short, as each of these short fiction stories is just 500 words (which qualifies them as micro fiction).

That means you can read these modern short stories whenever you have just a few spare moments - on your coffee break, on the bus on your way to work, while you're waiting in line at the bank or supermarket, and so on. So if you're looking for a very short story to while away a few minutes, Twisted Flash Fiction is exactly what you need.

"A collection of short, quick, and satisfying tales that will give you a surprise, a laugh or a smile, but will definitely leave you wanting more." Katie Darden

Even though each very short story in this collection is succinct, they all have a little twist at the end (hence the name - Twisted Flash Fiction).

The full list of all ten flash fiction stories is as follows:

Gowned And Bagged
All Tied Up And Nowhere To Go
50 Grades Of Shea
Highflier
Maison Dietre
Not Suited For Modern Life
Foresight
The Computer Virus
Framed
Now UZI Me, Now You Don't

Our personal favorites are Gowned And Bagged, and Now UZI Me, Now You Don't, but we'd love to hear which yours are.

Note: although these short stories are not sexually explicit, they do contain dark humor and mature themes (e.g. violence, murder), so they are not appropriate for people under the age of 18.

Look out for another collection of really short stories (with a twist) soon!
